See previous upgrade comments, most problem areas have not been addressed. It works like a charm with V2, it's quick and the AI noise reduction works well. #Download olympus viewer 3 pro
On Dec 21 I replaced my old Macbook Pro (baby model) with the new M1 processor (baby model). Like with other versions, V2 does not accept my iMac graphics card with 2GB memory.?. I am happy with both DxO Photolab and the new Deep-Prime option. Yes, you will lose the new AI noise reduction in V2.0 when you downgrade. WS V2 does not allow us to access subfolders from the Applications App folder. This is mainly an issue with PS because the actual PS App is in a sub dir in the applications folder. One of the issues with V2.0 is the button or link to your preferred editing application. I removed V2 from an older Macbook Pro and iMac and reinstalled V1.5. It could be a good idea to keep V1.5 and only upgrade if you bought the new OM-1. The more powerful Workspace V2 seems slower than the V1.5 version, plus it requires much more PC power. It works like a charm with V2, it's super quick, and the AI noise reduction works well. I bought my new Macbook Pro with the M1 processor (baby model). Like with other versions, V2 does not accept my iMac graphics card with 2GB memory!! Why does this happen, it has to be quicker with a "non-compatible" color card than without?. The best choice is NOT to upgrade and to wait for a fix) (Update - be aware, seems WS 1.5 and V2 are using the same image database and this can cause the downgrade to create problems.
Yes, you will lose the new AI noise reduction from V2.0 if you downgrade. I reinstalled V2.01 on my iMac and created a new database and it is working but as described below. On the Macbook it worked well and it's super fast again, but with the iMac, I started experiencing problems with transferring files to PS plus I lost some editing reset features in WS. I removed V2 from an older Macbook Pro and my iMac to reinstall V1.5. I have NOTHING of this nonsense on my new M1 Macbook Pro and WS (V2).
Waiting a minute is no good (time), what are the alternatives?.I really wish OMDS read this and fix this crap, I reported it to Adobe. All said this frustration has not been the case with V1.5.With this option, the WS adjustments are transferred to PS.If you do not select the 8-bit option then it opens a Tiff file. When you select the 8-bit file option then it will open a jpeg.It takes a longer time to open the image in PS (maybe a minute).Another option is to go back to the first (Photoshop) option in WS (see below). It works, but it opens the basic raw file and not the edited WS file.Workaround - (I tested the option (see illustration) below). This is mainly an issue with Photoshop 2022 because the actual PS App is now in a sub-dir from the Adobe folder in the Applications folder. It could be a good idea to keep the V1.5 version and only upgrade if you bought the new OM-1. The more powerful Workspace V2 seems slower than the V1.5 version, plus it needs more PC power.
